Books-A-Million, rant on pens, wish list items, and general tomfoolery…

So I went on a rather epic shopping spree today at BAM (Books-A-Million) because they’re having a rather nice sale! :D And I must tell you about it…

I bought 3 journals all for $5 or less each <3 and that wasn’t even the most exciting thing…

I’m CONSTANTLY buying pens because I’m forever running the ink out of them from writing so much… I probably throw away at least 2 or 3 a week… Because I go through them so quickly, it’s never occurred to me to buy nice pens…

But when I saw a box advertising a Seven Year Pen, I was intrigued… It says it’s got enough ink to last 7 years writing at 2 meters per day. If it’ll last me at least 3 years, it’s worth the $8.

If you’re wondering why I’m going on such a tangent about pens, it’s because last Thursday I paid $9 for 2 Sharpie pens because everyone told me how wonderful they were. I ran the ink out of both of them between Thursday and today, which is much less time than even cheap pens that I’ve owned before… Needless to say, I’ll be writing Sharpie a sassy email, because that’s just damned ridiculous!

Moral of the story, don’t buy felt tipped pens…

Another thing that I’ve considered as a result of this is getting a superlatively glamourous, elite, aristocratic, ornamented, classic writing instrument that could not mean anything other than business and has the lifetime warranty to prove it…

Mont Blanc. They’re the finest pens in the world. They come in gold, platinum, titanium, with diamonds and other jewels… I’d take the cheapest, plainest one they’ve got, but even that is upwards of $200… I could always add it to my birthday list along with the stack of books I’ve been keeping a log of since the week after Christmas last year…

All I can say is maybe one day. Hopefully this 7 Year Pen will last me until I get a Mont Blanc.

Write and rant on! :) <3
